Like the tremors that occur before the quake,
That’s the course my life seems to take,
Waiting in trepidation for the inevitable to happen,
For the ground beneath my feet to cave in.
Send in the rescue team to save my soul,
It’s buried under rocks and stone,
Slowly gasping for air to breathe,
A little while longer and life is sucked out of me.
In the distance I hear a voice,
Softly calling out my name,
I try to claw my way,
But to no avail.
Giving up,
Hope fly's as swiftly as it came,
My life and love,
Obscured by all the pain.
That’s the course my life seems to take,
Waiting in trepidation for the inevitable to happen,
For the ground beneath my feet to cave in.
Send in the rescue team to save my soul,
It’s buried under rocks and stone,
Slowly gasping for air to breathe,
A little while longer and life is sucked out of me.
In the distance I hear a voice,
Softly calling out my name,
I try to claw my way,
But to no avail.
Giving up,
Hope fly's as swiftly as it came,
My life and love,
Obscured by all the pain.
