i was in a dark place,
where the shadows had names,
my friend was a tear stained pillow,
and comfort was found in crying.
shunning the world away,
turning away from love,
my life,
my sadness.
a ray of hope,
flickering in the night,
a tiny candle,
lighting up my life.
reflection of mistakes past,
forgiveness in my heart at long last,
allowing healing to seep thru,
my soul is at ease now.
ready to stand,
and take flight,
goodbye,
dark gloomy night.
